Coastal creatures

I went for an overnight in Prince Rupert on Friday. It was a short getaway to a nearby city with often amazing vistas and things for photographing (I am not very good at taking photos as you may already know from my previous post). That said, I am trying to learn more about this Canon G10 that I bought last week. I have four photos I’d like to share with you. The first is a heron that was on the dock about 150yds from where I was standing. The others are of a young eagle which was only 50yds away. This camera has an amazing zoom feature.

I almost didn't get this one. I was laughing out loud so much by the look on its face - priceless.

This was a great pose. The majestic qualities of this large bird are captured nicely.

I am still using the setting within the camera itself. I can’t wait to get good enough with the camera to actually know what I am doing and make the photos clearer and crisper. I am starting to pay more attention to lighting.

peace,
harold
